Kyrgyz film episode. The Adopted Son (Beshkempir) is a Kyrgyz coming-of-age story centered around the boy Beshkempir in a remote village. The film was selected as the Kyrgyz entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 71st Academy Awards.
